Hadn't been out to the Garden in a while and finally was able to make it. Light was a little harsh as I didn't get there until late in the morning. (I just can't get the sun to wait for me). After about a 20 minute wait the male finally made his way to the nest through the back entrance. Could only see the top of his head from my vantage point. He stayed quite a while and then sat out on a limb looking like he was waitin' on his woman. She never showed so he took off (through the back door). Came back a little later and sat in the nest again for a while. Still no woman. Finally he flew over to the old nest tree and sat there for a while before leaving out the "front door" Missed this exit as I was trying to change teleconvertors. So I ended up with a few shots of him in the tree.

Lookin'.

Pacin' the floor, I mean, limb.

Wondering.

Guess I'll have to go find her.

Here's the photo that didn't make it through on the initial post. Probably operator error. :o

Thanks, Tim!! Love his expressions and your captions - poor Dad spends an awful lot of time "waitin' on a woman" (great song, too).......
